Anaheed is the host and producer of two major recurring belly dance events in the Southern California area: The Perfumes of Araby Swap Meet and (see below for details). In addition, she also hosts special engagements, such as concerts, workshops, and other related productions by popular local artists and out-of-town dancers.

Perfumes of Araby Swap Meet

Twice a year, in spring and fall, the Perfumes of Araby put on a lively day of swapping, shopping, and dancing! Notices about this event will appear on this page, and in MECDA publications.

Location: Granada Pavilion, 11128 Balboa Blvd. Granada Hills, CA, (1/4 mile south of 118 fwy, corner of Balboa and San Fernando Mission Road, behind Trader Joe's) [see map and get directions]

Time: Table set up starts 11:30 a.m., Swap open 12:30 - 6:30 p.m. Swapping and Dancing all afternoon!

Fees: Guests - entrance is $2 at the door

Vendors - The table or rack space fee is still a great bargain at only $20.00. As we fill up, a waiting list will be available. Call (818) 893-9019 to check space availability.

ATTENTION DANCERS: There will be a professional videographer and still photographer on site for your convenience. Please sign up for videos and/or photography when you arrive at the event. Both solo and group photography available.

PERFORMERS: Although some sign-ups for dancing are taken at door, it is highly recommended that you reserve a time slot in advance. Use the on-line Registration Form to reserve a time to perform, and check out the Performer's Guidelines page for information about dancing at this event. Cafe Beledy is now "Cabaret" Beledy

A Belly Dance Variety Show! Our shows over the last five years have had wonderful performers such as Hallah Mustapha, Kamaal, Catharae, Jorjana, and of course members of Perfumes of Araby and Anaheed. In the future we'll continue to feature other local artists, teachers and students dancing to live or taped music of their choice. Do join us for a variety-packed evening in a wonderful theatrical setting!

Cabaret Beledy will now be held at the same facility where Anaheed teaches! This location was formerly the "Granada Hills Theater" and features a real stage in a lovely studio setting!
